Graphology+ brings together my twin passions of art and psychology. As a little girl I was fascinated with people and intrigued to find out what made them tick. As I come from a long line of large families, I was never short of a steady stream of people to observe, from all walks of life.

Artistic impressions were very much a part of my everyday life. I was born in the Netherlands but grew up in South Africa, where I was surrounded by intense and radiant colours in brilliant sunshine, something I always found uplifting and inspiring. The richness and diversity of the people and landscape left me with a strong sense of a vibrant but also subtle and varied palette. It seemed natural to embrace these impressions and they continue to stimulate my imagination and creativity.

I came to London and studied fine art at the Byam Shaw School of Art. For several years I taught art to adults with learning disabilities and now, children and adults as well. The need to make more sense of myself, and the people around me, never left me, and I was finally able to bring art and psychology together when I studied graphology at the London College of Graphology. I am now based in London where I live with my husband and two sons.
