What is Graphology?
Graphology is the science and art of interpreting handwriting and dates back to the time of Aristotle. The first book on Graphology was published in 1622 by Baldi, an Italian doctor. It wasn't till the late 1800's though, that efforts at handwriting analysis began in earnest with the work of the Frenchman Michon.
A Graphologist studies an original sample of handwriting, closely scrutinising the document. Graphologists are not concerned with the content of the writing but with the handwriting itself. The aim is to reveal the character and personality of the writer, including his or her strengths, weaknesses and abilities. As handwriting comes from the unconscious, it contains a great deal of information, which can be useful for interpreting one's character.
Over the years Graphology has become a successful and accomplished human science. Modern graphology draws on the theories of psychologists, such as Jung, Freud and Adler and the characterology theory of Le Senne.
Graphology has many uses, including, personnel selection, vocational guidance and for solving criminal and forgery cases. Its most popular use though, is for gaining personal insight and for self-development.

What is Graphology+?
Graphology+ produces a written general report and draws on some of the main themes and ideas of the personality to create a visual, largely abstract painting of the person. Examples of written reports and paintings created can be found alongside the handwriting samples in the Gallery.
The painting is a creative interpretation of the writer as seen through the eyes of the graphologist. It draws on many years of artistic experience and explores colour, form, shape and pattern in a variety of materials to create a very personal composition of the inner dynamic. No two people are alike, no two samples of handwriting are alike and therefore no two reports or paintings will be alike. Each painting is as unique and individual as the person and tries to capture the spirit and essence, in a fresh and distinctive way.
The written report and work of art would make an unusual birthday or anniversary gift. Perhaps you're looking for an original Christmas present or something for that special occasion. Or, why not treat yourself - find out a little more about yourself and get a special, personalised painting to hang in your favourite space. Order the written report and the painting separately or buy both together at a reduced price.
